Swami Dharmalingam – A Journey of Spiritual Dedication

Swami Dharmalingam was born on 23rd August 1956 in Rawang, Selangor. He is the son of Mr. Veeramalai. His spiritual journey began under the guidance of Swami Sivadas, from whom he learned the foundational practices of meditation and yoga.

From 1984 to 1985, he served as a priest at the Kajang Renganathar Temple. In 1986, he founded the Geetha Yoga Centre in Kajang, where he began teaching yoga and traditional healing. Later, in 1987, he established the Agathiyar Yoga Centre in Dengkil and spent two years conducting meditation and yoga classes.

In 1988, he expanded his teachings to Kampung Laksamana, Batu Caves, focusing on spirituality, yoga, and Siddha healing. In 1991, he organized the first-ever Siddha Medicine Conference in Kuala Lumpur, under the leadership of Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu.

In 1992, he founded Pertubuhan Sri Agathiyar Sanmarka Gurukulam, a spiritual association promoting Siddhar worship, spiritual teachings, and yoga practices. By 1996, he introduced a grand initiative to provide annadhanam (free meals) to over 100,000 devotees during the Thaipusam festival — a tradition that continues to this day.

He also implemented a free milk and food program for Tamil school students in Batu Caves during that time. His teachings spread across various parts of Malaysia, including Penang, Melaka, Kapar, Klang, Serdang, Ipoh, and Kuala Kubu Baru (KKB).

He has consistently conducted free spiritual and community welfare services in these regions.

In 1994, Swami Dharmalingam established an Agathiyar Ashram in Pasunagar, near Mathakottai in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India, where his teachings and services continue today.

சுவாமி தருமலிங்கம் அவர்கள் 1956 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 23ஆம் ேததி ெசலாங்கூர் மாநிலத்திலுள்ள ராவாங்கில் பிறந்தவர். இவரது தந்ைதயார் திரு. வீரமைல. ஆன்மீகப் பயணத்ைத சுவாமி சிவதாஸ் அவர்களிடம் தியானம் மற்றும் ேயாகப் பயிற்சிகைளக் கற்று ஆரம்பித்தார்.

1984 முதல் 1985 வைர காஜாங் ெரங்கநாதர் ேகாவிலில் அர்ச்சகராக பணியாற்றினார். 1986 ஆம் ஆண்டு, காஜாங்கில் கீதா ேயாகா ெசன்டர் என்ற ேயாகா மற்றும் ைவத்தியக் கற்றுக்கூடத்ைதத் துவங்கி பலருக்கு பயிற்சி அளித்தார். 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு ெடங்கிலில் அகத்தியர் ேயாகா ெசன்டர் என்ற ைமயத்ைத நிறுவி, இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் தியானம் மற்றும் ேயாகா பயிற்சிகைள வழங்கினார்.

1988ஆம் ஆண்டு பத்து ேகவ்ஸ் கம்ேபாங் லக்சமனாவில் ஆன்மீகம், ேயாகா மற்றும் சித்த ைவத்தியங்கைளப் ேபாதிக்கத் ெதாடங்கினார். 1991ஆம் ஆண்டு, ேகாலாலம்பூரில் டத்ேதா சாமிேவலு தைலைமயில் முதல் சித்த மருத்துவ மாநாட்ைட நடத்தினார்.

1992ல், ஶ்ரீ அகத்தியர் சன்மார்க்க குருகுலம் என்ற ஆன்மீக அைமப்ைபத் ெதாடங்கி, சித்தர் வழிபாடு, ஞான ேபாதைன மற்றும் ேயாகப் பயிற்சிகைள வழங்கி வருகிறார். 1996ல், ைதப்பூசத் திருநாளில் 1 லட்சம் பக்தர்களுக்கு அன்னதானம் வழங்கும் திட்டத்ைதத் துவக்கினார். இந்தத் திட்டம் இன்றும் ெதாடர்கிறது.

அந்தக் காலக்கட்டத்தில் பத்துமைலத் தமிழ்ப்பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு இலவச பால் மற்றும் உணவுத் திட்டமும் நடத்தியார். மேலசியாவின் பல்ேவறு பகுதிகளில் — பினாங்கு, மலாக்கா, காப்பார், கிள்ளான், ெசர்டாங், ஈப்ேபா, குவாலா குபு பாரு (KKB) — ஆகிய இடங்களில் இவரது ஆன்மீகப் ேபாதைனகள் பரவியுள்ளன.

இதனுடன், பல இடங்களில் இலவச ஆன்மீகப் பயிற்சி மற்றும் அன்னதான பணிகைளயும் ெதாடர்ந்து ெசய்து வருகிறார்.

1994ஆம் ஆண்டு, தமிழகத்தில் தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டம் மாதாேகாட்ைட அருகிலுள்ள பசுநகரில் அகத்தியர் ஆசிரமம் ஒன்ைற நிறுவி, அங்கு ஆன்மீகப் ேபாதைனகைள வழங்கி வருகிறார். இந்த ஆசிரமம் இன்றும் ெசயல்பட்டு வருகிறது.
